It's official! Safynaz Kazem is employed. the feeling's rilly gr8 when you're rilly focused on wanting something and you got it. I can barely brush off this smile from my face =D I'll be starting in February so got lotsa time to relax and get prepared. gosh i'm excited! my very first job.

That's the unit i'll be teaching in my 55 minutes mock lesson tomorrow. There's no mocking about that, nope! I've got a full lesson to plan for tomorrow. It'll be an elementary class and i've got nothing to expect out of it. Rilly. Seriously. We're dealing with foreigners here, not Malaysian high school students. All i know is that there are 19 of them and i'd say they come from diff age range. One mistake, i forgot to ask. But its okay, i am planning to do some fortune telling palm reading activity, but i have doubts about them getting it. Well i might just have to cough up some back up plans just in case i'm the only one doing the activity. God help me. I'm nervous for this one, why? coz i want this! The teaching environment is so relaxing, you get to move tables around, you get to have the radio on, and i see that i might just be able to bring my cafe latte into the classroom ;) and the view?? interesting. absoulutely mind catching. 2 of these views caught my eyes today. one was a bad ass that knew he was hot, so i ignored him as much as i humanly could and the other was the type i prefered tha most. a little shy, a little unaware of what it brings out and totally sexy accent, or maybe i was a little biased =) I like those kinds. Its the blush from acknoledgement or compliments that attracts me the most and i can't hold back. anyways, those are just eye candies to perk things up in this temporarily dull phase of mine. 

god please give me this job, kazem.

i had been gone for almost 10days without any entries and that certainly was not because i had nothing to write about but i just didn't have the 'feel'. LOL ;P anyhoo one thing i realize about being 23 and lusting over materials is that i need someone to pay me at a monthly basis a.k.a. a job. i've been to various places for interviews. and this was what i did;

first interview:

location: a rundown institution

position: lecturer

salary: RM1400

environment: stuck in the 90s

status: got it; rejected ugghhh annoying

second interview:

location: red in color and for kids

position: english teacher

salary: unknown

environment: new place, peaceful but the kids r too passive

status: pending; weird vibe from the wife

third interview:

location: my favourite kindi!!

position: teaching assistant

salary: RM400

environment: AWESOME! kids are hyper plenty all over the place. prefect!

status: got it; sadly had to reject. pay = gas money only ;(

fourth interview:

location: blue in color; maths & english

position: business development cum English Trainer

salary: unknown

environment: GREAT! new offices. cozy but creep elevator.

status: pending

fifth interview:

location: orange in color & for young adults

position: english instructor

salary: RM28 perhour 4 hrs a day 5 days a week

environment: hyper and great place for creative lessons!

status: observation next tuesday

frankly speaking, if i had the body and energy for the job position featured in the article above, i would be among the first to apply. who wudn't wanna get THAT kinda job??!?! u get to laze around in a beach house, explore a beautiful island, blog about it! and voila. sheeessshh i call that awesome, especially when i'm still single and no strings attach. life's a beach ;)

so besides from job hunting which i sometimes feel that i don't rilly need one at times and feel that i rilly need to get this bumm out, i was busy baking. 9th January was my busiest yet, i had a total of 11 BOXES to finish the night before and all 11 of them had different designs = more leceh. i was standing for a full 12hours; baking and decorating. but nothing a bucket of ice cudn't cure ;) and me & izni came out with some festivi and orked-ish designs too.

a different beginning, 2009

Fireworks have fade and now the new year invades!? sheesh. happy 2009! i'm officially back to baking cupcakes for birthdays and other sentimental occasions. so, 2009 wow no regular routine up ahead. its almost a clean slate. almost. i don't have to get back to uitm. i don't have to get back to nasty stretchy bus rides. and i don't have to reformat my laptop. those are regular steps i take before returning to shah alam but i ain't returning no more. well not at least till graduation week. so, what now brown cow? do i job hunt? or do i stick with baking cupcakes? it's nice to stay home but it seems interesting to be able to say "my colleagues and i bla blaa blah...". i'm in a dilemma. all the job hunt i've done is thru my laptop. emails. jobstreet. yes, not all institution are IT savvy, i know (even tho they pretend to have email addresses). but why aren't i getting my butt up from this bed? i don't know. other than the big 'M', i can see no other reason, or can i? ughh i dislike when things r unpredictable. i'm already freaked-minded as it is. i don't need more uncertainties to stop me from doing things that i may want.

What are my 2009 resolutions? wise people say we shud make small achievable targets. so here's a couple of mine.

1.   get organised and record every sell & purchase of cupcakes/ingredients/thingys

2.   open up a new Maybank account for mommacakes

3.   call up Hilltop Private school for a job
